Day 1: Riamute Estate, Kiambu
You will meet by Nature Expeditions driver guide and drive to Kiambu. You will visit Riamute Coffee Estate where there is the production of coffee on the 10-hectare lot which is located less than an hour’s drive north of Nairobi. The predominance of the Kenyan SL-34 variety along with the high elevations of around 4,430ft (1,350meters) above sea level in this area come together to create a coffee with flavors of grapefruit and pomegranate, complemented by a molasses-like sweetness. Day 2: Mount Kenya Coffee Farm Visit.
After breakfast, drive to Mount Kenya with picnic lunch boxes for a guided walk around Mount Kenya coffee farm, you will get to know more about different types of pure Arabica coffees (SL 28, SL 34 & Batian) that are cultivated organically at the farm. You will also get insights on the coffee fruit-bean maturity stages, the essence of formed layers, and how to identify when the cherries are ready for picking at prime maturity later drive back to the lodge. Day 3: Naivasha Flower Farm Tour
After breakfast, check out, and with picnic lunch boxes drive to Aquila Farm, located 30km from Naivasha town on the North Lake Road and comprises 2000 acres of mostly flat arable land. The farm comprises 18 hectares of Richel greenhouses. This farm is at an altitude of 2000 m. Certain areas of the farm are earmarked for Wildlife and the farm co-exists harmoniously with Giraffes, Zebras, Impalas, Hippos, Wild Buffalos, and Rabbits to name a few. Day 4: Naivasha Vineyard Farm Tour
On this day you will have a visit to Leleshwa Vineyard in Naivasha. You will arrive at around 11 am and enjoy welcome tea and snacks while you freshen up ready for the tour. Then cross over to our vineyard and take a walk through the beautifully blooming rows of grape vines.
Return to the farm where you will enjoy an array of mouthwatering canapes followed by a delicious three-course meal, with the main course featuring the Premium Aged Morendat Beef, followed by a decadent dessert to please your buds. All the while enjoying a tasting of Leleshwa variety of wines paired perfectly with each course overlooking the sweeping views of Mt. Longonot. Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park Tour
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Nakuru followed by lunch then later an afternoon game drive. According to history, Lake Nakuru National Park was declared a national park in 1968 and its purpose is to home endangered species of animals such as the Rothschild Giraffe and Rhinoceros. Animals that you are guaranteed to see in this park are zebras, jackals, hippos, buffaloes, impalas, baboons, vervet monkeys, water bucks, white rhinos, and others which if you are lucky to see leopards, cheetahs, lions, Colobus monkeys, wild dogs, black rhinos among others. Lake Nakuru also hosts varieties of birds such as marabou stocks, pelicans, daters, both lesser and greater flamingoes, ibises, fish eagles, kingfishers, and land-dwelling birds such as bustards, guinea fowls, vultures, crows, eagles among others later back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Sawela Lodge [Full Board]
Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve.
After breakfast depart for a Journey to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension of the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Arrive at the Camp in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Day 7 and 8: Maasai Mara
Spend the days on morning and afternoon game drives and during your stay, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in depth. You may see elephants, giraffes, prides of lion, and thousands of impalas, topi, grants, and Thomson’s gazelle. Birds are prolific immigrants; 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. The Mara is the scene of the annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grasses. You get a chance to visit a Maasai tribal village and enjoy entertainment from Masai dancers. While in Mara, you will have the option to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem on board a hot air balloon followed by a gourmet champagne breakfast (Options at an extra cost). Day 9: Maasai Mara – Nairobi.
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi. On arrival, enjoy an afternoon departure meal at the World-Famous Carnivore Restaurant. Our representative will transfer you to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the early evening for your outbound flight.
